Our Client, an independent foundation with the objective of safeguarding
life, property, and the environment is opening vacancy for the position of
BIORISK CONSULTANT. Our history goes back to 1864, when the foundation was
established in Norway to inspect and evaluate the technical condition of
Norwegian merchant vessels.

Since then, their core competence has been to identify, assess, and advise
on how to manage risk. Whether classify a ship, certify an automotive
company’s management system, or advise on how to best maintain an aging
oil platform, their focus is to safely and responsibly improve business
performance.

Managing risk

an overview of the most critical risks and manage them professionally. The

BIORISK CONSULTANT

Biorisk Division delivers risk management services to biological
containment laboratories and other sectors working with potentially
harmful biological organisms. Our biorisk team has been successful in
transferring knowledge and understanding from other
areas of risk management and combining these with new thinking and
approaches to managing risks associated with biological organisms. Current
services include risk assessment, laboratory assessment / certification
and biorisk training. We are now looking for additional staff to meet a
growing demand for these services in Indonesia and elsewhere in Asia.

Pre-requisites:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences with relevant working experience
• Good working knowledge of laboratory biosafety and biosecurity
• Knowledge of avian influenza and associated working practices would be
an advantage
• Well developed communication skills, including good written and spoken
English language

Responsibilities:
• Participate in laboratory certification activities, management system
assessments, risk assessment and delivery of training
• Participate in preparation of Standard Operating Procedure for
laboratory activities
• Support client marketing activities, coordination of local projects and
development of service offerings
